Board Minutes

September 21, 2010

 

Chair George Clements called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m.

 

Present:  Mary Penney, George Clements, Milt Andreasen, Jon Meyer, Billie Miller, Fred Castaldo, Dwight Holford, Tom Delfino

Absent:  Joyce Bradley

Committee/Member Reports

Due to staffing issues, Jacque was unable to complete a draft of the Facilities Use Permit.  Continued until next meeting.

 

Director’s Report

An accounting was given for the baby back rib dinner.  We made $1309 toward the walk-in.  Upcoming events include a Mexican dinner/game night, a spaghetti feed and another rummage sale downtown on Saturday, Oct. 23.  We will do as last time:  Jacque & Roy will fill trailers with the items, stage them at their home and on the morning of the sale, drivers will pick up their trailers and bring the items to the lot.  Drivers should be at Jacque’s home by 6: 15 a.m.; others should be at the lot by 6:45 a.m.  We will not have as much as last time – maybe 4 trailers full.

 

Tentative break ground date for the new center is March/April 2011.

 

Debbie’s husband suffered a major fall so she will be adjusting her work schedule for a month or so to help care for him at home.

New Business

There will not be a meeting in October due to scheduling problems.  Next meeting in November.  If a major problem occurs, staff will email board members.
