FAQ

Greeters— these smiling, happy people work at the Center Monday through Friday during the lunchtime meal.  They greet old timers and new comers alike as they enter the center, help direct them to services and how to sign-in for lunch.

Servers—these energetic, helpful people assist serving the lunch meal.  They set up tables before lunch, serve both drinks and the main entrée and then clean up (bus tables) afterwards.

Drivers—dedicated and diligent drivers are needed to deliver the home-delivered meals to those who are frail and/or home-bound by reason of illness or incapacity.  These drivers use their own vehicles, drive to each Home Delivered Meal client and enter the home with a smile and hot meal.

Office Helpers— occasionally we need extra help answering phones or general office assistance.

Birthday Greeter—this special person calls each and everyone who has a birthday that month.  Greets them with best wishes from the Senior Center and informs them of upcoming events.

Librarian—organized and efficient person who keeps track of all the videos and replaces them in the proper location.

Miscellaneous—if you have a  talent or skill that would benefit the Center, or you would like to teach a class in your area of expertise, we would be happy to talk with you about your interest.

Interested in volunteering?

Volunteers are the very life-blood of any private non-profit and our Center is no exception.  We have over 50 volunteers who give generously of their time to the Senior Center and we could not survive without them.  Volunteers work as few as one hour per month or as many as two hours per week. Without their dedicated assistance and help we wouldn’t be an effective team.
